Kylie Lip Kits

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past little while I’m sure you’ve heard about the Kylie Lip Kits and how they keep selling out every time they’re restocked on the website. Well, after my roommate purchased a couple (aka pretty much every color) and couldn’t stop raving about them I decided to give them a try.

I had been on the lookout for a neutral everyday color so I decided to pick up Koko K and on the next restock I picked up Posie K because it looked like a really nice pink I could pull off. I also ended up getting the metal Heir because as you have probably noticed I go to a lot of concerts and thought it would be something different to play around with for that. Although, I have worn Heir to work and didn’t feel as though it was too flashy to wear out on a ‘normal’ day.

After hearing so many good things about these lipsticks I had high expectations, and honestly, they did not disappoint. These are hands down my favorite liquid lipsticks I have in my collection right now. They apply easily with one coat and the lip liners that come with the mattes are the smoothest ones I’ve ever used, it’s like heaven. These liquid lipsticks last through the day, including eating and drinking, without needing to be touched up. I even wore Posie K during my dance recital this weekend and it stayed in place perfectly even after sweating under the hot stage lights. I love that I can put them on and then not have to worry about them wearing away though out the day or smudging all over the place.

I’ve heard a lot of people compare them to the Colour Pop liquid lipsticks but I haven’t gotten around to trying them out yet but hopefully I will soon! As for now I’m loving my Kylie Lip Kits and can’t wait to add more to my collection!

  4. I found that the lighter colors have a better and less dry formula. Candy K and Posey are my favs but True Brown was awful. It got in the creases and just looked super dry and terrible after an hour. I would def get more lighter shades and I’m looking forward to trying the metals. Have you tried any??

  6. I actually use the Colourpop matte lipsticks and love them! Can’t believe they’re only $6 compared to Kylie’s, for almost the same quality. PS love your blog!
