Hey guys! As always I’ve been playing around with some new products and found a dry shampoo I’m completely in love with that I wanted to share with you!
As you guys have probably noticed by now I have pretty curly hair. Meaning for me, every morning when I do my hair I have to get it wet with a spray bottle in order to actually be able to get a brush through it. Also meaning I don’t use dry shampoos on a regular basis. It’s something I use more so when I have my hair straight to put off washing it that much longer or use on days where I’m straight up not doing anything but throwing my hair up in a bun.
That being said, I still haven’t found my ride or die dry shampoo for those times when I do find myself reaching for one, until now that is. With other dry shampoos I’ve used I’ve had problems with it weighing down my hair, giving me a white shadow, and just flat out not working. I’ve also tried dry shampoos that are colored specifically for brown hair and honestly they’re a hot mess.
Hask was kind enough to send over both their new Coconut Dry Shampoo and the Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo for me to test out. In addition they also have an Argan Dry Shampoo and a Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo that I have not tried yet.
Honestly, when I first saw the rang of dry shampoos my first thought was that they can’t actually all be different other then their sent but I was soon proven wrong. With the two that I tried I can tell that the chia seed volumizing definitely does add more volume than the coconut. Similarities that I saw in both were they actually did absorb the oil in my roots and after massaging it in there was no noticeable white shadow. And while the chia seed shampoo took the prize in adding volume the coconut definitely did not weigh my hair down. I think this product would be great for you if you have thinner hair as well because the spray is more gentle then others and won’t be harsh on your hair.
I honestly have nothing bad to say about this product, even the price is great and you can sometimes catch them on sale at Ulta which makes it even better. I’ve already thrown out my other dry shampoos I had in my cabinet and can’t see myself going back to them.
Completely unrelated to the performance of the products I love the packaging and they both smell incredible, perfect for summer! And the bag they sent along was perfect as my pool and beach back on my recent vacation!
Do you have a ride or die dry shampoo? Leave me a comment I’d love to know what it is!
Let’s be friends!
